You’re decorating your house in ACNH and have the perfect wallpaper, but an accent wall seems to be stuck worse than glue. What do you do?! Don’t worry!
In this blog post, we’ve got the lowdown on how to get rid of that accent wall so you can cover all four walls with wallpaper again.
What to do when you can’t remove an accent wall in Animal Crossing
To initially remove an accent wall, you need to go into ‘decorating’ mode (see the lightbulb icon in the top right of the image).
By pressing the Up arrow on the D-pad, you’ll access decorating mode. From here, you can see items in your storage. By moving along to the ‘Wallpaper’ using L and R bumpers, you’ll see the different wallpapers in your storage.
From this view, you should see the two wallpapers selected: the main wallpaper and the accent.
Click ‘X’ on the wallpaper you want to cover all four walls and you’ll remove the accent wall in the process!

Pretty easy, huh? For some reason, this part of ACNH evades most of us players! By ensuring you’re in design mode instead of the wall view, you’ll be able to remove that accent wall at long last.
